What do you offer?

Depending on your needs, there are three different plans we offer for various hosting needs with competitive pricing:

Simple (tier 0)

• claim a neat subdomain of your choosing from the kmoverse's range of domains
• BYOH - bring your own hosting from another provider, such as Github Pages, Wordpress.com, Firebase, Netlify, or other supported web hosting provider.
• useful for small sites, throwaway domains, and more
• support the kmoverse by owning a piece of it!
• on the fence? trial out the kmoverse hosting service before you choose to upgrade
• pricing starts at $2/month or $15/year upfront (preorder this plan)

Select (tier 1)

• your very own domain name - we'll help you register your domain and cover the upfront yearly costs for it. Create subdomains and redirects easily with kmoverse hosting support, or set your own rules with a DNS provider (such as Cloudflare) if you're feeling advanced
• kmoverse static web hosting - host your static websites for your portfolio, blog, or frontend app without fuss and with high availability. Or bring your own hosting from popular providers (Github Pages, Wordpress.com, etc.)
• kmoverse shared web hosting (one secured site) - use popular and dynamic web hosting platforms such as Wordpress, Drupal, and Joomla to power your site, or host your own PHP-based website. One secured(*) site is included with this plan
• free SSL certificates for your domain (https for free!)
• add-ons available -- see below
• pricing starts at $6/month (preorder this plan)

Bundle (tier 2)

• all of the benefits from above, plus some included add-ons:
• a choice between a) two more secured shared hosting sites for a total of three sites OR b) access to your own virtual machine running Linux for more dynamic web hosting or pretty much anything
• 60GB storage space (add-on) included - use this to backup your sites and databases, or use this to store images, videos, documents, and other media to download later. Expand later for a reasonable price!
• email + Google Workspace included (for one user) - get an email address with your domain name such as [email protected] and use it with Gmail, Google Drive, Google Meet, and other familiar Google products. We'll set this up for you for free, and you can this expand to more users for an additional fee.
• Access to the kmoverse hotlines - get prioritized support for web hosting on your popular communication platform of choice
• Test drive new features early before they are rolled out to all hosters
• the most complete cost-saving plan for your web hosting needs, with kmoverse assurance
• pricing is $22/month for the above, with flexible pricing on new add-ons and expansions (preorder this plan)

(*) We do our best to upgrade and maintain our shared web hosting service to patch out security vulnerabilities and provide a stable service. By having a "secured site" on our shared web hosting, your site will occasionally be updated with the latest system upgrades and packages.

You can stack plans together!

Yes, that's correct! If you already have a bundle plan for your main domain name and want to add a second custom domain plus a kmoverse subdomain, you can get all of that for a combined cost of $22 + $6 + $2 = $30/month!

What are the available subdomains? (Simple Tier)

All hosters (including those above the Simple Tier) will be able to choose one subdomain of their liking (provided it is available and within reasonable limits) from the following list:

• *.sheeesh.club
• *.rentseeking.monster
• *.uwu.kvn.moe
• *.owo.kvn.moe

Keep in mind that there are some restrictions on subdomains because the domain spaces are shared. Get in contact with me for details.

I'm ready to go! How do I preorder a plan?

If you're ready to go, then there are several options you can go to reserve your spot:

• Send an email to kmo(at)ocf(dot)berkeley(dot)edu with your plan choice, the domain you want to go with (or ideas for a new domain name), and your preferred communication methods. We'll work it out from there.
• Wait until the online plan chooser is up, so you can automatically choose and pay for your plan in one go online. I plan to get this up by the end of March.
